What makes Lettr "Intentional"?

Search, don't swipe. Browse members who match your core preferences. No magic "algorithms" hiding profiles to keep you glued to your screen.
No low-effort profiles. All members complete the same thoughtful prompts that get to the heart of what they're looking for in a partner.
No low-effort messages. No, "hey" or "how are you today"s or a like without a message. Every introduction must demonstrate that someone actually read your profile.
Why Lettr Dating?
A new dating platform launches every other week. But here's why we think Lettr is different.
Launching exclusively in New York City, our only city for the foreseeable future. New York is famously terrible for dating. We're not going to fix that by also trying to fix LA, Chicago, and San Diego.
We're self-funded. This means we answer to our members, not VCs. No grow-at-all-costs pressure. Our plan is to collaborating with our members from the early days to co-create the experience together
Dating for everyone. If you look at the marketing tactics of most new dating apps, they sell youth, exclusivity, convenience, and... AI? We think love isn't just for twenty-something influencers. Whether you're a doctors or a retail associates, are a nightclub person or night cheese person — all are welcome to apply.
We have a desktop app. Unpopular opinion: dating shouldn't be too convenient. Writing a thoughtful message is easier on desktop. We built for both.
We're built to last. Lettr Dating was built and architected by a senior software engineer with over a decade of experience shipping enterprise-grade applications. This isn't a weekend project or a quick MVP. The codebase was designed from day one with maintainability and scalability in mind using the same practices that power mission-critical systems at S&P 500 companies.
Who we are
We're a small team of technologists based out of Brooklyn and with collaborators in Poland and Ukraine. For me personally, Lettr Dating is a passion project that I have been working on for 2.5 years and think about every day.
